So today was clinic day for Morgan and we were anxious to see what the progress report was going to look like. The Doctors have been slowly decreasing her medications as her body is becoming more able to take care of itself.
Unfortunately along with the reduction of the medications, has come a reduction in her appetite, a big reduction! So needless to say, Morgan has lost a considerable amount of weight.
However, after talking with the Docs today we’ve come up with a plan to induce Morgan’s appetite once again and expect to see her appetite back to normal (whatever that means…) in a few days. Morgan did very well in all the other categories, and the Doctors were very pleased.
In a couple of weeks Morgan is headed to upstate New York to spend a couple of weeks at camp. She’s very excited, and can’t stop talking about being able to go into the pool in an aquatic wheelchair. I can’t imaging what she’s envisioning, but he’s really stoked!
As we are leaving CHOP Morgan decides she wants to see the Kinetic Sculpture in the lobby. She’s seen it, and played with it a hundred times, but still loves it, so off we go. After spending about 10 minutes at the sculpture we start to leave and are stopped by a young man who asks Morgan if he would like to try out for a recording that will replace the elevator voice that announces what floor you are on.
Well, Morgan lights up, so again, off we go! She rolls into the room, take a few minutes to get set up, and away she goes. She didn’t want me to post the video, but… I just couldn’t resist. LOL! When she finds out, I’m think I’m in for a beat down! :)
