…what’s the word
So I have been reminded that I have not updated the blog…SORRY! As we move forward with Morgan’s recovery, many times I forget to stop and type that we smelled the roses, so to speak.
As always, we continue on our roller coaster ride in recovery. When last I typed, Morgan was in the hospital for what we thought was sepsis, and turned out to be an adrenal gland issue. That issue turned into a horrible GVHD ( skin with 3rd degree burns) issue that we needed to control. We controlled that with pain meds and back on steroids…currently working to get off the prednisone.
While recovering, Morgan and I travelled with Grammy and Pop Pop to St. Louis to visit with over a dozen of her cousins that she was meeting for the FIRST time. SHE HAD A BLAST!!! We went to cousin Noah’s Bar Mitzvah, and she is making her list as to what she wants her Bat Mitzvah to be like … OY! She kept telling me how she had no idea cousins could be like that…like best friends…sigh
As the meds work their magic…Morgan’s stamina has improved, and she has been able to participate more at school. She is loving her new school, Haverford Friends, and comes home feeling good about her experiences there!
We are still working on her costume for Halloween…the girl is obsessed, and loves this holiday. I look forward to posting those pics! Word for the month…as per Morgan…Halloween rocks!
