…what is normal?…
Morgan is cooking up a storm, and I am eating it! I may have to cancel our television subscription to NOT include ANY cooking shows. Morgan is constantly writing down recipes, and asking to try them. What that really means is can she make them, take one bite, then move on to the next! I no longer plan meals for myself, I just eat whatever is left over after she is finished. When it is her dads day to watch Morgan, they end up cooking enough for an army of at least 20!!! None of it low-fat mind you….FULL of fat, which means tastes soooo good. So, if you come for a visit, plan to take food with you!
Morgan began learning to walk again. Losing most of her mobility during her last “visit/long term stay” at the hospital has been a huge adjustment. In-home physical therapy began last week, so baby-steps. Hoping to have her at least sit-up on her own and stand by end of August. We continue to receive platelets twice a week, and blood at least twice a month. Will not be able to remove her broviac until that becomes stable.
The nurses looked at me today when I walked in and said “you know Morgan has an EKG today, right?” Ahhhhhh, no, but OK…along with blood and platelets. One nurse said that I was so easy and laid back (boy, who knew I was such a good actress)…I just said, this is the new normal, and we just have to go with it!
