The start of something new…
We are on Day 11 after transplant, which is the critical time for us to be on the lookout to see how Morgan is taking to the donor cells. As I mentioned before, Day 11 – 21 are our watchout days. Today Morgan had 20 cells that were able to be counted, none that gave us her ANC (her immunability count), but any amount of cells means that something is stirring, which is a great sign. Morgan was the last patient to been seen today by the doctors – they said this is a good thing, the most critical are seen first, and Morgan was not seen until 5pm today! They said she looks really great, and is what they want to see with a transplant patient – yeah! So far so good.
We had a GREAT visit with the Daltons yesterday and today we saw Stephanie, Grammy, Pop pop, and Dar. The doctor had asked me how she was doing today, I answered “pretty good”, to that we entered her room to see her standing on her bed to grab her home-made mobile to show Dar. The doctor looked at me and said “yeah, looking pretty darn good!”
