Relapse!
It’s 11:00pm, and I’m sitting next to Morgan who is sleeping quietly beside me.
It’s been three days now since the bad news. Morgan caught a virus a couple of weeks ago and was not getting better. Her color was pale, and the purple bags under her eyes were more predominant then ever.
Just to put our worries at ease, Ame decided to bump up her clinic visit at CHOP. The labs were taken, and we waited impatiently in the treatment room for the results to come.
When the doctors came in, the look in there eyes told the story…
Morgan’s cancer is back.
Things move very quickly when something like this happens. Thursday morning we check in for a clinic and by Thursday evening Morgan has been admitted and a starting treatments.
Friday morning starts off with the first round of procedures, and by Saturday night Morgan has started chemotherapy and has had her broviac implanted. A decision she made by herself.
Tomorrow is another day.
