Happy Birthday Morgan…
May 20, 2009: 6:50pm, It’s a Girl! 78lbs (not sure how many ounces), 66 inches. Happy Birthday Morgan! The “transplant” will take approximately 3 hours. It’s actually anti-climatic, it just drips down through her broviac. Morgan did not understand the big deal, and why there were 4 nurses watching at the window to her room and 2 doctors and 2 nurses inside the room with her dad, nanny and me all watching that first drip of life. We clapped, and cheered as Morgan slowly drifted to sleep since she is loaded up with Benadryl and Tylenol as pre-treatment for transplant.

She may not understand, but we do. This is our second chance at her life, and we are hoping/praying this one sticks. We will have a few good days in the beginning, and many not so good days for awhile. We now sit and wait to see how Morgan takes to the new donor cells.
We have set up a Skype account, Morgan can be reached at Morgan6261 if she is able to answer. Thank you to everyone who has sent well wishes for today and for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers! Now the next time a nurse asks Morgan when her birthday is, she can answer “Which one?”
