So yesterday’s ANC was 4198…pretty fricking great! Her numbers and engraftment seems to be maintaining. The doctors want to lower the steroids to bring on the GVHD, which is what we want (to a lesser degree than 2 years ago), so that these new cells recognize the remaining leukemia and kill the f…ellas!
They anticipate breaking us out of here by early next week with NO broviac. They will do a bone marrow aspiration before we leave to see if her marrow is still clean and take the broviac out at that time. She has not needed any transfusions, so they feel she does not need it anymore! In about 30 days she’ll be clear to swim like the fish she likes to be…any friends with pools….Call me!
She is now eating like the Morgan we know…Italian salami, and Jewish salami (it exists in beef form!), Gouda cheese and Chinese dinners. Because her numbers have been steady, they are letting us cook for her…still can’t order out, but mom’s kitchen is now open for business. Just waiting for the filet mignon and beef bourgione requests to begin!
