Are we there yet?…
We are now (fingers, hair, toes, etc. crossed) done with the bad GVHD. Morgan is doing really well with her recovery. Some set backs with a small virus in her blood has us on a TON of pills, even more than before. With a second transplant we have to really watch things that can compromise her organs…and a common cold virus can do this. For us a sniffle, for her, kidney failure. So, if a question of whether you are healthy or sick before visiting, always err on the side of caution.
The doctors allowed Morgan to go outside for the first time in 60 days! HUGE smile on her face as well as the staff’s. People were visiting her outside, just to see her enjoying herself! We are starting physical therapy, now that Morgan’s skin no longer has burns. We think we’ll be moving to in-patient PT by next week. Doctors feel we should be out within 2-weeks after that!
