Amazing Grace (Morgan Grace that is)…
Morgan was amazing at 7am. She took her eye drops, and rolled over (while I was pretending to sleep) to tell me it was time for her shot (which I did not remind her of the night before). So, I was pretending to sleep, hoping she would want to stay quiet while she got her shot – it’s all about me…and being a big fat coward. However, Morgan came thru for me yet again, she held my hand, I told her to look right in my eyes, and the nurse with the BIG (truly big and long) needle, gave Morgan her shot in her thigh muscle. Not a peep, but definitely some tears – from mom. A few minutes later Morgan was asking when the playroom would be open, and all was right with the day again.
Later today, where the world goes on outside this hospital and our reality, I found out that an amazing lady/boss/co-worker/mentor of mine passed away from her fight with Cancer. While all your good thoughts and prayers are sent our way, please send a few to her family as well.
