1, 2, Wii…
We’ve checked back in, and alas – to the HoJo side of the hospital:( ANYWAY, great news. The oncology team has identified FIVE donor matches for Morgan. These individuals have been “activated”, meaning they have accepted the task of being a donor and are currently undergoing the tests that are needed to see if they will be a true match for Morgan. This may mean that Morgan will be getting a transplant sooner rather than later. We were hoping to be into the process by May, but we may be looking at April!!
This is great news, but Morgan is hoping that the transplant is after she gets to see the new Hannah Montana movie, and attend her really good friend’s birthday. Selfishly we don’t want to go in before April 12th, but we will do what we need to do…start writing Miley Cyrus for an advanced DVD of her movie please!
As usual, we check into the hospital, and Morgan rushes off to hospital school, and then stays in the playroom to play with some of the other kids and staff on Wii. No, I am not getting her Wii. Let that be something she can look forward to at the hospital – I mean it Grammy and Pop Pop, or anyone else who is trying to become her favorite.
This chemo treatment is definitely taking its toll on Morgan. She was more tired, and had nausea for a few days home last week. By the weekend she was the energizer bunny again, and I needed a break. Back in the hospital for 7 – 14 days for another dose of the same chemo. They anticipate her counts to go very low, and we can’t leave until they get back to acceptable levels. So we will sit back, wait and Wii.
